The music of ice cream…
I was sitting outside on this beautiful Spring evening, when suddenly, I heard the familiar sound of the ice cream truck jingling through the streets. I was immediately brought back to how Connor would hear the music and it was…game on!
It didn’t matter how far away the truck was, he would just begin running in the direction of the music. Many times without shoes just to find the frozen treats. Once he ran at least a mile toward Glik park to reach the truck. He always came home with an ice cream smile.
I found “good humor” in this, due to the fact that I worked for Nestle, Edy’s and Haagen Dazs! He always had a large freezer full of ice cream at his disposal. He forever made the simplest things in life an adventure!
Today, his younger brother heard the music and off he went after the truck, without my knowledge. Thank goodness it was close by. I was in the back yard enjoying the ice cream music and watching the sunset. Suddenly, I was offered a fudge frenzy from a smiling child of mine and so it continues…
I love this! What a sweetheart!
