Merry Christmas!
How was our first Christmas without our fun loving, big hearted, entertainer and oldest child? We were all wondering how we would make it through the day with our years of traditions minus Connor. We changed things up a bit, but what didn’t change was that we were all together as a family. For us, being together is what makes life and loss bearable. We were blessed to have the Adams over for a bit to sing Happy Birthday to Uncle T and play a fun game together with Aunt Jill and Melia. We went to a movie to honor him working at AMC. It was packed! I never realized how many people go to the movies on Christmas! We laughed as we waited in line for snacks, as we knew Connor would have been racing to see how many new people he could meet or how many AMC Stubs cards he could sell on a busy day like this! We even went out to eat instead of me cooking a big turkey dinner. Note that while most all places are closed, I-HOP is empty on Christmas and you can have the place to yourselves! After Carter and I said prayers tonight, he said to me, “Mom I was thinking this would be a really bad Christmas without Connor. But you know what? It was a perfect day! We all really missed him, but I know we are going to be okay and he will always be with us.” Thank you God for Carter…his words were just what “The Doctor” ordered and what MamaC needed. Peace, love and blessings to your family from ours during this Christmas season!
Hugs to you and your family. You are all in my prayers.
God bless you all Lauri. I’m glad you were able to keep looking up.
Lauri your words warm my heart and make me smile. You have been in my daily thoughts. At Christmas I told my family who Connor was and we shared his stories. So know The Doctor made a a lot of house calls this blessed CHRISTmas. God bless you and your family. You and your entire family is an inspiration. God ‘s Blessings
Thank you Traci! We love Connor stories too! Peace & Blessings to you and yours!
