Homecoming 2014

Connor had ordered a shirt for Homecoming at Truman.  He never had the chance to wear it.  I got it instead.  One month today since he spoke to me.  It seems like time has been flying by with so much to take care of and trying to live life again in our new normal.  Yet time is standing still… as I realize everyday that he is gone from this earth.  Grief stinks.  Carter was sobbing and I ran to see what was wrong.  He cried out how sad he was, “that Connor had missed this glorious day!”  It is easy for me to explain that Connor’s day was more glorious than we could ever imagine!  I have no doubts there.  Anytime I have a rough day I hear Connor saying, “Turn down the noise and turn up the music Mom!”  “yaasss not a mistake!”  Connor’s homecoming was in Heaven…and I got the shirt.
